It is estimated that over 2 million scientific articles are published annually at an escalating rate. Hence, it is of prominent significance to ensure that one’s publications stand out. This workshop elaborates on what the authors can do to get their publications the attention they deserve. In particular, this workshop expands on how social media can be used to publicize academic work, and provides some practical guidance on how to develop the impact potential of research through appropriate science communication and social media engagement beyond traditional forms of publishing.
